About the Founder

MacKenzie Brown, JD/MBA: Founder & Principal Attorney, Law Logic, LLP

MacKenzie Brown is the founder of Law Logic, LLP, a solo practice focused on complex real estate, construction-adjacent, and financially intensive legal matters. He is trusted by clients and fellow attorneys when legal issues demand not only accuracy, but financial intelligence and operational experience.

MacKenzie brings a rare combination of experience as a career prosecutor, civil government attorney, institutional real estate analyst, licensed general contractor, and active real estate investor/developer. This multidisciplinary background allows him to evaluate legal risk the way courts, regulators, and capital markets actually see it—not in isolation, but in context.

Trial‑Tested Legal Judgment: MacKenzie earned his Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law and spent more than seven years as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, serving in both the Criminal and Civil Divisions. His work in the Civil Division included a landmark victory before the Washington State Supreme Court, establishing a standard of excellence that defines his current practice.

In the Criminal Division, he managed high‑volume caseloads, prosecuted complex fraud cases in coordination with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, and took dozens of cases to jury and bench trials. This accumulated courtroom experience of thousands of hours in front of judges and juries, informs his rapid assessment of evidentiary strength and his relentless pursuit of structural logic in civil disputes.

Financial and Real Estate Depth: Before practicing law, MacKenzie built a career in commercial real estate finance and valuation. He holds an MBA with an emphasis in Financial Decision Systems from Loyola Marymount University, along with a Certificate in Advanced International Affairs from Texas A&M University, focused on national security analysis.

As a Commercial Real Estate Analyst at OneWest Bank, he helped restructure IndyMac Bank during the financial crisis of 2008 and co‑created the bank’s commercial valuation department. His work included the valuation of hundreds of properties totaling nearly $3 billion, providing direct analytical support to senior leadership during periods of intense regulatory scrutiny.

Practical, Owner‑Level Perspective: MacKenzie is also a licensed contractor and the owner of an active real estate investment and redevelopment company based in Spokane, Washington. Since inception, the company has completed dozens of residential real estate transactions, including acquisition, renovation, leasing, and direct management. He has personally overseen project management and construction on substantial residential projects across Eastern and Western Washington.

This hands‑on experience allows MacKenzie to advise clients with an understanding of how deals, developments, and disputes function in practice—not just on paper.

A Focused, Logic‑Driven Practice: At Law Logic, LLP, MacKenzie represents clients and supports other attorneys as an expert consultant in complex real estate matters, title disputes, zoning issues, and transactions where legal exposure and financial risk intersect. His practice is intentionally lean, analytical, and outcome‑oriented—designed for matters where precision matters and oversimplification creates risk.
